HEAD CHEF – CHRIS EAGLE
Chris joined 21 Hospitality Group as an apprentice at 21 Queen Street in 2002. He has moved his way around the group, working at Café 21 Ponteland, Cafe Live and Jesmond Dene House before moving to Cornwall for a year to work in a 3 AA Rosette hotel. He returned to Newcastle in 2011 and took up the position of Head Chef at The Broad Chare before becoming opening Head Chef at Saltwater Fish Company .
FISHMONGER – IAN LOWREY
Ian worked with Terry at Fisherman’s Lodge and at 21 Queen Street when it received a Michelin star in 1992. He was Head Chef at Café 21 in Ponteland which he subsequently bought, rebranded to Café Lowrey and ran successfully for 10 years. After deciding he needed a change of direction, he returned to 21 Hospitality Group and is now Fishmonger at Saltwater Fish Company.
FRONT OF HOUSE – JAMIE TONES
Originally from Bradford, Jamie Tones joined 21 Hospitality Group in October 2014. Before joining the team he spent a year at the famous Box Tree Restaurant and a year at Jesmond Dene House. He started life with us at 21 on the Quayside where he was a winner of the Annual Award of Excellence for Service from the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts before moving to Saltwater Fish Company for the opening.
